For those on a budget, the Reveal provides a high quality monitor with real high-end features. The distinctive cabinet has been designed to offer increased structural integrity and reduced HF diffraction effects. Its unique 1 ¼" thick contoured MDF baffle provides a solid foundation for drive unit mounting as well as increasing overall stiffness. This means a clean and articulate performance for whatever project you have in mind. Reveal's drive units include a 1" soft dome tweeter and 6 1/2" bass unit manufactured in-house by Tannoy, ensuring quality and consistency in use. Both units are also magnetically shielded, so the Reveal can be positioned close to video monitors if desired. High power handling capability coupled with above average sensitivity means that Reveal can produce high SPL's without distortion. There is no better value on the market today.

Magnetically Shielded Included | The System 1200 reference monitor is capable of accurate reproduction at very high sound pressure levels. It can be used as either a mid-field monitor or as a main monitor in smaller studios. The computer-optimized reflex cabinet uses a Tannoy 12" Dual Concentric(TM) drive unit, giving a frequency response down to 40 Hz. Because the Dual Concentrics high frequency dome is located at the acoustic center of the low frequency cone the unit behaves as a single point source, mirroring the way sound is produced in real life. In addition, the natural directivity control allows a ninety-degree dispersion pattern, minimizing reflections within the listening environment. The System 1200 cabinet uses a 1 1/2" thick MDF front baffle to provide a strong structural foundation for mounting the drive units and increase overall cabinet rigidity. Internal cabinet cross bracing further stiffens the structure, meaning a tight and fast low frequency response with low distortion. Applications for the System 1200 include audio visual, broadcast and post-production facilities as well as music studios and quality control applications. Like all System Series monitors magnetic shielding is available as an optional, allowing use in close proximity to video monitors.

Magnetically Shielded Available upon request at additional cost. | Suitable for mid-field or main monitoring, the System 15DMT II is a versatile and powerful system offering the superb performance of Tannoy's 15" point-source Dual Concentric(TM) drive unit. This drive unit offers output with the ideal spherical wavefront, meaning a cohesive soundstage whether you are mixing for two channel or modern multi-channel formats. In addition, the System 15DMT II is capable of high sound pressure levels without compression and remains unfatiguing over extended listening periods. The crossover is split into separate HF and LF sections to minimize component interaction and can be bi-amplified by those looking for the optimum performance. Carefully chosen crossover components are used to minimize distortions caused by component saturation. These include Copper capacitors, HF Mega capacitor, and vacuum impregnated air-core inductor. Like all Tannoy System Series enclosures, the System15DMT II uses comprehensive internal bracing to reduce panel resonances, and rounded baffle edges to minimize HF diffraction effects.

Designed to be either freestanding or soffit-mounted, the System 215DMT II offers a powerful and articulate performance for studio main monitoring. Based around the 15" Dual Concentric(TM) drive unit, the system supplements low frequencies through the addition of a 15" bass unit that can be used to either operate below 250Hz or to run in parallel with the Dual Concentric(TM) driver. This allows optimization of the system for the best bass response and maximum SPL. Each drive unit is mounted into its own separate chamber within the cabinet and is computer-optimized with twin laminar-flow reflex port tubes. The 15" point-source Dual Concentric(TM) drive unit ensures consistent and stable imaging across a wide listening area, while its controlled directivity minimizes the effect of reflections from room boundaries. Crossover components are over-specified and include a vacuum impregnated air-core inductor, copper capacitors for flux modulation control, and a Mega HF capacitor. Internal wiring is custom-woven and the split crossover is biwireable if desired. Whether used as part of a modern multi-channel or traditional two-channel system, the System 215DMT II provides superior performance for the professional recording studio.

FEATURES
Reveal X has two main applications
Firstly as a dedicated centre channel monitor in a Reveal 5.1 surround system. Its low profile is necessary for many installations but it is critical to maintain the same quality when panning across left, centre, right. The Reveal X therefore uses the same drive units as Reveal to ensure consistency of sound quality, whilst doubling up on the mid-bass unit gives it greater power handling, ideal for the extra level the centre channel often needs to achieve.
Secondly the Reveal X is ideally suited to re-mix monitoring for DJs. Stereo re-mix monitoring requires the same standard of accuracy as any other music recording, and many DJs use Reveals for this reason. Now you can have the same quality with the Reveal X and benefit from increased sound pressure levels, which really convey the emotion of dance music. |
