API 2061
Specifications:
- 24 Channel desk
- There are 16x550 Eqs (NOT 550A's but
the originals)
- 16x312 line-card preamps
- 2 original 525 compressors
- 500 series EQs (1x550A, 2x550B, 1x560b)
24 channel into 8 bus API console originally built in 1971.
The blueprints assigns a model number: 2061. It's been modified
over the years (-10 db pad switches added, 16 return rails added to
the cue bus monitoring section of the board, essentially creating a
split console, most of the other mods are cosmetic in nature). The
console is very reminiscent of the 2098 API at RCA Studio B in
Nashville.
